Our Lady of Guadalupe
Today (December 12) is the fiesta of the Virgin of Guadalupe. By far, the Virgin is one of the most colorful saints. So much so that she is depicted around California and the southwest in many forms. In churches and the missions, street shrines, street art, dollar store candles and presiding over taquerias. Here are some of my favorite photos I’ve taken of the Virgin in San Juan Bautista, CA; Guadalupe, CA; San Francisco and Santa Fe. Whenever I see this colorful lady, the car stops, the camera comes out.
